14 Days of Valentines

This year I decided to do something extra special for Skyler: 14 days of Valentines! I absolutely loved doing it! Skyler is never surprised by anything because I always end up telling him what his gifts are going to be, so it has been quite the accomplishment that I have been able to surprise him for 14 days straight!  Every day leading up to Valentines Day he got presents, letters, and treats:)

The night of January 31st I surprised him with a box of 15 things I loved about him to be opened every day, a Valentines card explaining what to expect in the next 14 days, and his favorite white chocolate coconut bar!

February 1st he got Redvines and a Redbox gift card with instructions that the gift card could only be used on movies he wanted to see!

 On day 2 I made his favorite pie (to remind him he is my "sweetie pie")! I had never made one before so I was impressed that it turned out!

Day 3: A candy gram!

Day 4:"You rock my world" Poprocks and an Itunes Gift Card

Day 5: Breakfast in bed (cinnamon rolls)

Day 6: "Valentine, I've Got the Hots For you"...special gift:)

Days 7-10 he was gone...so I packed up envelopes for him to open every day on his trip.

Day 7: I wrote him a letter telling him how I felt on our wedding day, I included Reeses Pieces because "I love him to pieces."

 Day 8: I wrote him a letter telling him how much I appreciated him, and I gave him Poptarts because he's a "popstar" to me (Cheesy I know lol)

Day 9: 6 Famous Love Poems

Day 10: I gave him a church talk about marriage:)

Day 11: When he came back from his trip I had chocolate covered strawberries, sparkling apple cider, and taco bell waiting for him..as well as an invitation for him to be "my valentine"

Day 12: I got him some new cologne.  I hadn't given him any since his birthday when we were first dating so he was pretty excited.

Day 13: A coconut Sweet Tooth Fairy cupcake because "he's my cupcake" (I know...once again cheesy) Sky and I love Sweet Tooth Fairy cupcakes..everyone should check that store out at least once...

Unfortunately my Valentine had to leave for a work trip on Valentines Day:( We decided to exchange the big presents and go out to dinner the night of the 13th and then really celebrate this weekend when he comes home!

Because I am currently obsessed with skinny ties thanks to the influence of Mary Bevan and White Collar...Sky got his first skinny tie...and a new dress shirt:) My mom mailed me this cute bag on my birthday to use for Valentines so the shirt and tie were given in style:) I will post a pic when Sky wears this outfit!

 I was really spoiled this Valentines...Sky let me buy some Sperrys that I have been obsessed with forever...

AND....

He got me the Jcrew bracelet I have been dying for! (Its the chunky one in the picture)

 I love my Valentine! I loved being able to do something special for him everyday:) I am so excited to make the 14 days of Valentines a new tradition from now on!

 I can't wait to celebrate Love Day more this weekend:) Hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day! I love all of you!

Can I Say I'm Still 23?

Well my birthday came and went and once again Sky made it the best.  Seriously....it's kind of crazy how perfect it was.  Good omen for what 24 is going to bring me perhaps...I think so:)

We started the festivities off by having dinner at Goodwood with Sky's family the Tuesday before my birthday.  I seriously love my Utah family..they are basically amazing in every way and they treat me so good!

 Next Sky surprised me the night before my birthday with roses and a cupcake from Sweet Tooth Fairy.  I'm kind of crazy about cupcakes and roses...so it definitely was the perfect way to start my birthday!

That night we went to a BYU basketball game.  We've gone to almost every one this season.  Although it's not as much fun as when Jimmer was around we still love to go!

On my actual bday I was treated to breakfast in bed, shopping, and dinner with all of our friends at Los Hermanos!

Afterwards a few of us went back to our condo and played King of Pain...I hadn't ever played but I recorded a few of the performances for everyone's viewing pleasure..unfortunately my rendition of Lucky is on Regan's phone so you all will have to miss out on that...but here's Conlin and Skyler to fill in:)

I also got a package from both sets of parents, and tons of cards, texts, and phone calls..I seriously have the best husband, family, and friends anyone could ask for.. (sorry if I'm prejudiced)
