Thanksgiving 2012

We spent Thanksgiving with my family again this year, and it was so much fun!

Love hanging out with this crazy girl!
We attempted to make a batch of pumpkin cookies, but unfortunately read the recipe wrong...this picture is of Jax expressing her disdain..

My family got a new puppy...she was immediately named Tinkerbell (Can you tell we have a 4 year old in the home?)

We took Jax to get a haircut. She's a beauty:)

We watched old family slides of when my Dad was a kid.

Macy's Day Parade

My mom made a delicious "Turbacon".
 Skyler cut the turkey..

My Dad and Skyler fried a couple of turkeys..

 The food was so good..

The next day we went Black Friday shopping with my Dad and Jax.

Such a fun visit. I love my family:)

The Appendectomy, Skyler's 26th Birthday, and Halloween

We were lucky to be able to visit Texas twice this fall. The first time occurred right before Skyler's birthday.

We were entertained by this little cutie:

One of her best looks;)
My dad took some of the family out to eat for Skyler's bday at one of the best Mexican restaurants in existence: Chuys'.

Love my family!

My mom made Skyler the yummiest cake! The frosting was literally made out of caramel.

Side Note: In September I found out that I had been offered a full time position at the SLC law firm I worked at as a summer associate. I accepted the position, and I am so excited to start my career as a lawyer at Strong & Hanni after I graduate!

We went to the Utah Orchestra, and had some dinners with family and friends to celebrate :)

After we got back to Utah we prepared for what was supposed to be a trip to Cabo over my Fall Break. Instead we got a surprise appendectomy in Utah. I had been feeling pains for a couple of days, but was trying to ignore it due to a crazy week at school and work. Finally the pain got to be too much, and with our trip to Mexico only days away, Skyler made me go to the doctor. I was then immediately rushed into surgery, and Skyler spent his birthday in the hospital taking care of me. I will spare you the gross pictures of me in the hospital.

We did however celebrate Skyler's birthday after I recovered:

We went to Lagoon with Skyler's family, had some delicious birthday dinners at Goodwood and Olive Garden, and ate his Mom's famous German Chocolate cake.

Halloween was so much fun this year! We had several parties, got to dress up, went to the Strangling Brothers Haunted House, and went to the Jazz v. Mavericks game!

I won second place in the chili cookoff.

Mortal enemies for the night:)

End of Summer Fun

Labor Day

On Labor Day we had a cookout with Skyler's family at one of the many parks in the mountains. Seriously Utah is a beautiful place. I highly recommend coming to visit at least once in your life.

Danica turned 24!

For Danica's bday we hiked to Stewart Falls, and then went to Cheesecake Factory for dinner. Last year we hiked to the top of Mt. Timpanogos, so I was really happy to go on a shorter hike this year:)

Love these two.

Cutie pie:)

And we bought mountain bikes...
