Three weeks ago Skyler, his parents, his sister, and I decided it would be a really fun family activity to hike Mt. Timp. My MIL has been hiking tons this summer and decided she wanted a new adventure...
The hike was beautiful. I forget sometimes that I live in such an amazing place...

| Pretty views |

| The first fourth of the hike had gorgeous waterfalls all along the trail |
 |
| On the way back down the mountain while trying to walk across this glacier again..I definitely started to fall down the side of the mountain...Skyler had to grab me as I started to slide and save me! I definitely did not have the right shoes to go snowshoeing on the side of a mountain! I'm sure I looked ridiculous! |

| This was from the peak that we had lunch at..we could have stopped here but being able to see the highest peak pushed us to the top! |
 |
| You could see the Great Salt Lake and Utah Lake from the top! |

The hike was definitely one of the hardest things I have ever done. We thought originally that the hike would take 4-5 hours and would be about 7.5 miles altogether. Instead it was 7-8 hours long and was 18 miles long altogether. Before we realized how far it was we were all talking about how we should hike it every year..by the end we were talking about how it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience lol! We were exhausted and every muscle hurt! I'm sure we looked so funny finishing up the hike since we all looked like we were going to pass out! It definitely took a couple of days before I could walk again!
In all it was such a great experience, and it was so nice to spend some quality time together. The fall leaves were gorgeous, the weather was perfect, and the views were amazing!
